Jacqueline “Jackie” Cauley, beloved matriarch, devoted wife and sister, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on June 25, 2025, at the age of 71.
Jackie was the loving wife of Willie “Buddy” Cauley, Jr., with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story began years earlier, as sweethearts who found in each other a lifetime companion and best friend. Together, they built an extraordinary life filled with boundless love, laughter, and countless precious memories.
Jackie was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Michelle (Hans) Buchheim and Angela Cauley. She was always there to be a team mom, a cheerleader, nurse, friend and supporter. As a grandmother, “Nanny”, she found immense happiness in her three grandchildren: Abigail Osteen, Chloe McIntosh, and Carter Harris, who brought endless light to her life. Her family was her greatest joy and pride.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Jack and Doris McKinley Stegall and her sister, Darlene McKinley Oberg. She leaves behind a brother, Rusty (Patsy) Stegall along with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Known for her infectious laughter that could light up any room, Jackie had a gift for bringing joy to everyone around her. Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She created a home filled with love where family and friends always felt welcome.
Jackie’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her beloved family and friends, and in the countless lives she touched with her radiant smile and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and never forgotten.
The family will hold visitation for family and friends on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home located at 503 N. Lake Dr. in Lexington, SC.
A celebration of life service will be held in the chapel at Caughman-Harman on June 30, 2025, at 11:00 am with graveside services to follow at Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington.
