James “Jim” Brewer, 77, passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on May 17, 2025. He was born on November 5, 1947 in Pascagoula, Mississippi to the late Jesse Wilson Brewer and Mary Frances Brewer.
Jim is survived by his three children: James W. Brewer, Jr “Jamie” (Richelle) of Charlotte, NC, Jerry Brewer (Brandi) of Lexington, SC, and Jason Brewer (Brittney) of Lexington, SC. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Aiden, Drake, Emma Bell, Coltyn, and Landon; along with his sidekick dog, Shadow. Jim was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Debbie Brewer.
Jim was a member of the PGR (Patriot Guard Ride) group out of South Carolina. He loved being able to help honor the families of fallen soldiers and veterans. Being a part of this group is one of his most treasured memories.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072 on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held directly after the service.
