Jim was an Army combat veteran who served in Vietnam. After his service, Jim stayed in Germany where he met his wife. While in Germany they had a daughter, Angelique. A few years later they moved to the states and had a son, James III.
Jim was an avid pool player who had a great love of fishing, singing, and playing the harmonica. He enjoyed telling jokes and having a good laugh. To Jim, no one was a stranger, just a friend he hadn’t spoken to yet. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother and friend. His charismatic personality will be greatly missed. Although his death came unexpectedly, we take comfort in knowing Jim lived life to the fullest.
Preceding Jim in death are his parents and his sister, Janie. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved daughter, Angelique (Guadalupe); son, James III (Stephanie); three grandchildren, Jonathan, Brianna, and James IV; and his five siblings Julie, John, Jean, Janet, and Jessie; along with a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
In lieu of flowers and for remembrance of Jim’s life, we ask that any charitable donations be made to a children’s charity (His favorite charity).
