LEXINGTON - James "Jimbo" Lawrence Thames, Sr., born on April 8, 1958 in Sumter, SC, departed this earth on Friday, January 31, 2014. Jimbo was the son of Margaret Taylor Martin and the late James H. Martin Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Brenda Thames, daughter, April Thames and sons, James Lawrence Thames Jr., Steven Leno and Kyle Thames; 2 brothers; 4 sisters. He was a devoted, loving family man and avid fisherman who began his career in the U.S. Navy and most recently worked for Pete's Interior.
Celebratory services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 3, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
