Jean was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; there she graduated from Frankfort High School in 1951. On October 29, 1955, she married William J. Wolf, a POW of the Korean War. Jean and Bill (William) later moved to Cinnaminson, New Jersey, where they raised their children. In the year 2000, Jean and Bill moved to Columbia, South Carolina.
Jean was the daughter of the late Robert and Louisa Crawford. She is preceded in death by William, her husband of 47 years, and her son, Mark. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Steyne; son-in-law, Paul Steyne; grandson, Christopher (Keely); granddaughter, Nicole (Brent); granddaughter, Tori (Cole); grandson, Joseph (Lauren); daughter-in-law, Joyce Wolf; grandson, Jordan (Kristie) and great grandchildren, Mia, Eli, Levi, Makai, Timothy, Joshua, Ella, and Annie. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest delight.
She was fond of her daily walks and was known by her family and friends as a lover of animals. She loved reading and was greatly inspired by the Christian author and preacher, Charles Spurgeon.
In the spring of 2022, a graveside service will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 13, 1:00 -3:00 pm, at the home of Paul and Michelle Steyne, 1734 Holly Hill Drive, West Columbia, South Carolina 29169.
