

LEXINGTON-Jimmy Reginald Calhoon, 77, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, South Carolina.
Mr. Calhoon was born in McNary Arizona. He was predeceased by his parents and grandson, James Ian Calhoon.
Mr. Calhoon served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He also played football for the Navy during this time. He thereafter accepted a scholarship and played football for Florida State University. Upon graduation, he worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent until his retirement. Mr. Calhoon and his family moved to South Carolina in 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of 53 years; two sons, James Kurt Calhoon and Mark Reagan (Rebecca) Calhoon; sister, Janice (Bruce) Berman; two granddaughters, Ashley (Blair) Sims and Sandra Calhoon; and his two great-granddaughters, Aubrey Ferrell and Maisy Sims; Billy and Faye Mosley and beloved pets, Freckles and Rambo. Mr. Calhoon was greatly loved and will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Citadel Foundation, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409 in honor of James Ian Calhoon or to a charity of choice.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Highway, Lexington, South Carolina, 29072, (803) 359-4391. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be FBI Agents, close friends at McNair Law Firm and Sweeny, Wingate and Barrow Law Firm. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
