Gaston – Jimmy Lee Helms, 60, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Born on October 15, 1952 in Cherokee County, NC, he was the son of the late Ola Cook Helms and Roland V. Helms. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Helms; grandchildren, Dillon Helms and Taylor Jenness; great grandchildren, London Mitchum-Helms and Kayleigh Wood-Helms; sisters, Linda Alexander and Cathy Heflin and brothers, Doyle Helms, Jerry Helms, and Brian Helms and many nieces and nephews from North and South Carolina. Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Helms.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He impacted the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He was loved by many and missed by all.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is in charge. Memorials may be made in his honor to the Lion’s Club, Cayce/West Columbia Branch, or the American Cancer Society or The Lexington County Firefighter’s Association.
