LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Joe E. Rawl, 82, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Pisgah Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pisgah Lutheran Church, 1350 Pisgah Church Rd., Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. Rawl was born September 14, 1936 in Lexington County, SC, and passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018. He was the son of the late Clifford and Louise Lindler Rawl. Mr. Rawl was a retired dairy farm owner, a former Vice Chairman and church council member, and a volunteer fireman at Round Hill Fire Department for 20 years.
He is survived by his sons, Bryan (Polly) and Keith (Tammy) Rawl, both of Lexington; three grandchildren, Megan (Joey) Prater, Brett Rawl, Matthew (Kayley) Rawl; three great-grandchildren and sister, Olive Lowe of Aiken.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Christopher Cooper and the LMC IICU staff, the 8th floor North Tower staff and the LMEC staff.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
