My husband (Coach Ben Freeman) had the upmost respect for John. He did a great job helping to care for Pelion Athletics and we considered this good man a friend. Our hearts go out to his family and our prayers are covering each of you. We are so sorry and ask our God of comfort to be near you during this time.

I cannot begin to tell you how it saddens me to hear of John’s passing. We are so glad that our families reconnected at Dad’s 90th birthday surprise. John never changed, he was the same person we knew when we were little. May God wrap his arms around you, Jenny, and your family.

Love,
Tara

John was a wonderful man that I enjoyed getting to know through my work with the school boards trust. He always had a special way of presenting things and I could always count on him to make me laugh! My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.

John was a servant who put others first. His love for his family, friends and colleagues was played out each day of his life. John had a way of bringing laughter and a lighthearted spirit into stressful days in the office. Ginny & family, may you continue to hear his laugh and cherish the memories of a life well lived.
With sympathy,
Kim Williams

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of John. He and I met 32 years ago as we both began our public education careers at Lexington School District One, in “The Computer Shack”. We worked side by side through the good times and, sometimes, the challenging times. But when the going got tough, perhaps due to some kind of computer crash, John’s humor would magically have us all laughing, right in the middle of our own little “disaster”. Those moments helped us all.

May peace be with John, Jenny and his family.
