WEST COLUMBIA – A memorial service for John Clements Freeman, 61, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Freeman was born September 11, 1954 in Columbia, SC and passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015. He was the son of Lucy Clements Freeman and the late, James M. Freeman.
Mr. Freeman graduated from the University of South Carolina and retired from Piggly Wiggly after 20 years of service. He liked collecting coins, was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and was a lifelong Gamecock fan.
Surviving are his wife, Alice G. Freeman of West Columbia; mother, Lucy C. Freeman of Columbia; sister, Carol Freeman Talbert of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved cat, Grayman and his dog, Loosie. He was predeceased by his father and brother, James M. Freeman, Jr.
