OBITUARY
John Ellis Kyzer
December 22, 1939 – December 30, 2020
John Ellis Kyzer was born December 22, 1939 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. He was a son of the late Berley and Martha Hallman Kyzer.
Mr. Kyzer served in the US Navy for four years in the Philippines. He was a member of VFW Post 8738 and Victory Fellowship Church. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He worked in construction and was a “jack of all trades”. Mr. Kyzer was known to many as the “Peanut Man”.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kyzer; daughters, Loraine Herron and Charlene Guessford-Cline; son, John Guessford; grandchildren, Jordan Rowe, Cayson Clayborne, Chayenne Guessford, John Guessford, Jr.; four great-grandchildren and brothers, Tommy, Ray and Larry Kyzer. He was predeceased by his brother, Lloyd Kyzer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Victory Fellowship Church with interment to follow in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
