John Benjamin Phillips, age 52, of Gilbert, SC passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025. John was born in Columbia, SC to his parents Ed and Irene Phillips. He was a loving husband of 26 years to his wife Kim Phillips. He was a true girl dad to Amanda Grace, 21 and Madison Marie, 18. He loved his brother, Ryan Phillips, dearly.
John's true passions in life were his family, his faith, his friends and scuba diving. The ocean is where he felt most at peace. He lived life to the fullest and made everyone laugh that he met. He will be truly missed but never forgotten. Stories will be told for years to come.
There will be a Memorial Service at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Highway, Lexington, South Carolina 29072 on Monday, August 4th at 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at the Corley Mill House, 221 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. John's wish was that we celebrate his life. Please dress comfortably and he requested no black attire.
