NEW BRAUNFELS – Funeral services for Master Sergeant retired, Joseph “Bit” B. Inman, 67, will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 prior to the service in the chapel.
Master Sergeant Inman was born November 2, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC, raised in Columbia, SC and passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 in New Braunfels TX his home town. He served our country in the Army and Air Force and retired as Master Sergeant. At the age of 17 he served as a young man in Viet Nam also worked for the Pentagon and three special tours in Saudi Arabia. He received numerous medals during his service to include three Air Force Accommodation, two Air Force Achievement, Joint Meritorious Unit, Viet Nam Service medal and several more.
He is survived by his son, Michael J. Inman of Texas and nieces, Katheryn Polk, Melinda Sox and Julie Kirby all of West Columbia, SC.
He was a loving father, uncle and friend and will be missed.
