Josh's life was a testament to his unwavering faith, steadfast dedication, and unfailing love. He was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, and friend. His greatest love was for his family. His commitment to his family was matched only by his deep appreciation for the beauty and peace of nature. Whether it was hunting in the crisp morning air or fishing with his buddies, Josh found peace and joy in the great outdoors. He loved it so much he moved to Wyoming and became a hunting and fishing guide. He loved sharing his passion for God’s creation with others.
Josh was a very gifted welder and his work reflected his hard work and attention to detail. Whether he was welding or fitting pipe the crew knew he would get the job done and keep everything on track.
Josh’s life was a beautiful example of living with purpose and grace. He always stood for what he believed and was very genuine. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love he shared and the lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Steele Pifer; daughter, Emma; brother, Justin; sisters, Andrea Disharoon and Anna Braun; and his parents, Joel and Alice Pifer.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Crossroads Church, 2723 Ashland Rd, Columbia SC 29210. There will be a visitation at 1pm to visit with the family prior to the service.
Thank you so much for all of the love and prayers for our family in this tough time. We are so blessed for all of your support.
