Julia Louise Barbone

Julie was born on May 24, 1924 in Norristown, PA. She will be eternally remembered by her daughter, Judith Giangiulio and her life partner, Arthur Gelormo. Julie will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Julie was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Barbone; her mother, Arcangela Muscarella Brandi; her father, Domenico Brandi; her brothers, Dick Brandi, Adolph Brandi, Dominic Brandi, Salvatore Cione, and her sister, Teresa Brandi Bidden.

Julie attended Norristown High School. She lived most of her adult life in King of Prussia, PA. She retired from Ford Corporation and then went to work as a crossing guard in Bridgeport, PA. She retired again at the age of 90. Julie was an active member of the Holy Savior Club in Norristown, PA, where she served on the Board and was an active player on the Bocce Team. She was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she volunteered on a regular basis. After retirement, she moved with her daughter to Lexington, SC, where she was a member of Corpus Christie Catholic Church in Lexington, SC, and also an active member at the Senior Center in Lexington.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. There will also be a visitation at Holy Savior Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 2300 DeKalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19401.
