Kelly Marie Johnson

With heavy hearts yet deep gratitude for the gift of her life, we remember and celebrate the radiant spirit of Kelly Marie Johnson. Kelly’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love touched all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her vibrant energy filled every room, and her devotion to her children was the light of her life. She was hardworking, spirited, and joyful, cherishing the simple beauty of time spent with family and the serenity of the beach she so dearly loved.

Kelly Marie Johnson, 35, of Chapin, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1990, to Janine Reed and Lewis Johnson. A proud graduate of White Knoll High School, Kelly went on to serve as a Senior Team Leader at Chick-fil-A, where her dedication and vibrant personality left a lasting mark.

Kelly is survived by her loving mother, Janine M. Reed; her cherished children, Kaidence Arlene Rawls, Emma Marie Rawls, Zane Martin Rawls, Levi Travis Rawls, and Megan Cayce Rawls; her brother, Brandon Reed; her sisters, Dezarae Sharp and Erin Johnson; and her significant other, Sidney “Jesse” James IV. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Johnson.

A memorial service honoring Kelly’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, with visitation to follow. In memory of Kelly’s love of life and color, the family kindly requests that attendees wear light purple.
