LEXINGTON – On Thursday, November 17, 2016, Kelly (Butch) Rankin passed away unexpectedly. Kelly was an amazing man who was all about family….He was a devoted, loving husband; loving, and an extremely proud dad; a wonderful son, brother, and friend. Kelly never met a stranger and had the ability to make anyone he met laugh. He enjoyed playing golf and watching sports, and was a big Tar Heel fan. He had an amazing spirit and was loved by many. Kelly was the son of the late Arthur Eugene Rankin. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Shari; daughters, Amy and Elizabeth; son, Christopher Ternon; his mother, Sue Heidelberg (Jim); brother, Chuck; sisters, Kim Jones (Tim), Angie Sanders, Penny Rankin; brother-in-law, Mike Pettis (Mary) and several nieces, nephews, cousins and grandson. Service will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 508 Hampton St., Ste. 200, Columbia, SC 29201-2765.
