Found this photo today. It's hard to put into words, but I’m really glad I knew her. Just thinking about the times we shared and how much she meant to so many people. She’ll always be remembered.

Lana, You were my best friend and always will be.. You were always there for me at Lexington during my short time there, you were always with me and always talking to me about everything. I'll never forget all the fun times we had and the memories we made. I wish I could've had more time with you because you were the best person I have ever met. Nothing brought you down and you would always put a smile on my face even in the darkest times. Rest easy boo.

Lana and I were best friends in 8th grade but as time went on we drifted, i found out about her passing the day before my 16th birthday, that birthday is one to remember. To Brandi, i love you so much and wish only peace and happiness in your life from now on, i can’t believe this happened. Lana’s passing was a big turning point in my life because it made me realize that there may not be a tomorrow, so enjoy and love the people you care about now and check up on those who you might not think need checking up on. I love you to the moon and back Lana and your paintings in the sky everyday remind me of your beautiful personality and bright smile. Love Daisy Mays

She was a drop dead gorgeous girl and I’m so sorry for all of y’all and her to be going through this at the age she was 

Lana was funny and amazingly talented and that one song that she sang that the two people sang during the service was beautiful all though I dont remember the name of it. Lana was the brightest in the room and she could always bring a laugh when needed.

Our hearts ache, but Lana’s bright light is with us as we think of you and your family. I remember when J.P. and I got to see you and meet Lana at the library. It was such a joy getting to meet her and talk with her. Her brilliance and inquisitive mind shined and sparkled as she smiled and talked. She is beautiful, brilliant, talented and loved.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Lana was one of my son, Bradley’s friend in elementary school in Virginia. Lana was such a sweet girl. I can’t imagine what you are going through and am so sorry for your loss. Brandy, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Lana, I will miss your smile, kindness, and  your carefree laugh. You were one of Maggie’s first friends when we moved here, you both instantly connected and became good friends. When she came over for dinner, the first time we met her, she got out and started playing with some characters for our Jamestown school project (which wasn't built then, but now is) we loved playing little Indians with her😊. We had lots of fun spending our Christmas and New Year's with her ❤ She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Lana♡

I didn’t know her that much but when I heard she did played guitar and did music I think that’s really awesome and I wish I could of joined her in her music and maybe made a band. Well I know she’s in a awesome place now and I send all my love and prayers to the Hashem Family.

I worked with Ben for many years. During that time I had the pleasure of meeting Lana on a few occasions. I remember how smart, polite, and funny she was as a child.  My heart breaks for Ben, Brandy, Rian, Charli, and the entire family. I know how much she was loved by everyone. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers and Lana will be dearly missed. 

Lana was always so kind-hearted to me, and spoke passionately about the things and people she loved. I remember the conversations we had in our old classes together, and the way she spoke so passionately and with intelligence. I would walk with her to her class, then walk back to my own during class change due to the various discussions. You will always be cherished in my memories forever, love you Lana.

I never really knew Lana but I do remember in in 7th grade she was the only person who ever tried to actually talk to me and have genuine conversations sometimes and was the nicest person in the class to me. That has always stuck in my mind and always will. Rest in peace Lana.

Lana was a GREAT friend to my daughter, Jenny Lyn. She is missed terribly and will always be loved. Hugs & prayers to her friends & family. 

My angel! I will miss our private conversations. I hope you find peace in the highest of jannah (heavens) and can’t wait to reunite! Habebtee!(my love) 💕

This day was filled with so many smiles. Every store she’d find something she wanted. It seemed excessive, but I’d go back and buy it all for you in a heartbeat if I got the chance.

One of my fondest memories is when we chose to take a photoshoot at the lake house she invited me to. We didn’t even know what we were doing, we just decided that Lana was going to be the model and I was going to be the planner. I made her put leaves over her face, stand in the water, roll in grass, and every single photo was a new memory. She made every picture beautiful and her own. 

i never believed i could’ve have gotten this close to a class mate but ever since the day she first talked to me i know she was in my life for a reason Lana showed me what it was like to have a friend who would stand up for you and care for you like nobody else could. Her confidence her grace and her strength can never be taken away from her she is timeless. 

this was the last day i saw lana it was thursday night and she was so happy and full of life an absolutely angel 

I love you Lana, Rest easy beautiful Angel. I can’t wait have a dance with you at Prom in Heaven when we meet again ❤️

I would just like to say how beautiful Lana was and how many lives she has touched. She was so amazing and always the light. I remember she always loved singing and had such a great voice. She made me smile by just a look. She put anyone in her life around us first and I love her so much and miss her. Asking her to prom was and still is one of my best memories and was an amazing moment in my life. And I know at heart and mind she was genuinely a really unique and special person and I know that god has her now and is taking good care of her. He gained an amazing talented and beautiful angel Saturday.
