

Lana Renee Hooker-Hashem, age 15, of Lexington, SC, born August 9th, 2006 passed away on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. Lana was a Sophomore attending Lexington High School who was loved by all. Lana cared passionately about her family and her friends. She loved life, art, softball, and music. At the young age of 4 Lana taught herself to play the guitar and over time, became a brilliant musician with the voice of an angel.
As a dedicated musician and singer, she could pick up any instrument and in a short time was able to play it with skill. Lana wrote her own music, loved to draw, lived life loud and above all was not afraid to speak her mind. Lana is in heaven surrounded by loved ones alongside her grandmother, Toni Renee Caldwell; great-grandfather, Carl Anthony Little; PaPaw, Granny, Uncle Samuel Hooker, and Aunt Faith Hooker.
Survived by her mother, Brandy Alexis Hashem; father, Benjamin Hooker, Neil Hashem; sisters, Rian Madison Hooker, Charli Rose Hooker; grandparents, Bonnie Jean Hooker, Robert and Nancy Hooker; grandparents, Paul and Carla Kopach, Joan Rickman Little; and a volume of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 1st, 2022 at the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 pm following visitation. Lana’s burial is private and she will be laid to rest next to her Aunt Faith Hooker in Chapin, SC, on April 1, 2022.
Just as the sun sets and rises, Lana’s light will shine on.
