Lynne, a Christian believer, was born in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Carl and Gladys Kogelschatz. She lived most of her life in either Baltimore or Harford County, MD. After graduating from high school, she worked for Noxell Corporation. In 1973, she married Herman Thomas (Tom) Care, and they had one son, Mark, for whom Lynne became a stay-at-home mother. Tom and Lynne served their church and enjoyed singing in choir. Their other hobbies together included taking day trips, landscaping, and redecorating their home. In 2019, Tom and Lynne moved to Lexington, SC, into a house with Mark and his family, where Tom died of mesothelioma shortly thereafter. Lynne lived the remainder of her years with Mark’s family, able to spend time with her grandchildren, garden, and read her Bible, among other things.
Lynne was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Tom, as well as her nephew, R.J. Meyer.
She is survived by her son, Mark Care (Anna) and two grandchildren, as well as her younger sister, Harriet Meyer (Charles), along with her niece, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
