LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Linda Tune Leatherman, 75, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Lexington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Leatherman was born January 12, 1942 in Asheville, NC to the late Harry Clifton Tune, Sr. and Carolyn Eleanor Wilkes Tune and passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was a member of Grace Bible Church and former member of Lexington Baptist Church. She attended public school in Morganton, NC and graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College, now known as Appalachian State University. She was a teacher for 31 years, many of them in Lexington, and was much loved by her students and colleagues. She was a woman of faith and loved Jesus, whom she now serves in eternity.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Leatherman Jackson (Robert, Jr.) of Leesville; grandson, Robert “RJ” Jackson, III of Leesville; brother, Harry Clifton Tune, Jr. (Delores) of Rock Hill, SC and two nephews.
