Momma was born October 28, 1923 in Kershaw County, South Carolina, to John Marion Rabon and Ola Gertrude Kelly Rabon.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jacob Woodrow Sightler, Jr.
She was one of 8 children and was preceded in death by Edith Rabon, J.W. Rabon, Katie Mae Cupstid, Estelle Leeds, Alma Goodwin, and Lindbergh Rabon. She is survived by sister Bernice Rabon Scott, who was always so faithful in her love and care, and daughter Jenny Mack (Basil), grandsons Leon and Presley (Karen) and precious and adorable great granddaughter Dianna Preslee Mack, her pride and joy. Lois is survived by very much loved nephews and nieces.
The Rabon family moved to Cayce, South Carolina, in 1938 and Lois became a Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Cayce (now Mill City Church of Cayce) in the same year during the extensive outreach Pastor Reed was doing at the time.
Among a number of jobs Lois did over the many years of her work life, the longest was 43 years as sales associate (and later buyer) for Tapp’s Department Store in Columbia. She loved so much working with people.
As time went by, she claimed as “sisters” her dear friends Louise Wise, Barbara Ware, and Jean Berry. She also claimed as loved “daughters” Judy Bozard, Pam Burnett, and Kathleen Copley.
