Lorenzo J Murray

Lorenzo Jamarie Murray Jr., 20, of Columbia, SC departed this Earth on June 27, 2023. He was born on December 16, 2002 in Columbia, SC and was the son of Sabrina Dash and Lorenzo Murray Sr. He was known by his family as “Mari” and by his friends as “Renzo.”

Lorenzo attended schools in Richland and Orangeburg County School Districts. He was an employee of O’Hara Public House in Lexington, SC. He worked his way up from dishwasher to kitchen manager in 4 years. Lorenzo loved to play basketball, go fishing, and play video games. He loved his family, friends, and his 3 children. He left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Lorenzo was caring, giving, and a selfless soul that will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Gabrielle Crocker; grandparents, Robert Lee and Lelia Mae Dash; grandfather, Lawrence Bruce and god parents Vance and Cody Littles.

He is survived by his mother, Sabrina Dash; father, Lorenzo Murray Sr.; brother, James Anderson III; sister, Chazzae Murray; grandmother, Elouise Murray; his three children: Jalyen Murray (Destiny Richardson), Ja’marion and Armani Murray (Lataviana Outing); three nieces: Alauni, Ja’maya, and Jaylee Anderson; one nephew, James Anderson IV; the O’Hara family and special friend Lataviana Outing, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation for Lorenzo will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 N. Lake Dr, Lexington, South Carolina 29072. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel.
