LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Maggie Lee Jones Hite, 96, will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, September 18, 2017 at Lexington Church of God with interment in Old Gilbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Lexington Church of God Building Fund.
Mrs. Hite was born November 18, 1920 in Lexington County and passed away Friday, September 15, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Jesse H. Roland and Berlie Dooley Roland. Maggie was a lifetime member of Lexington Church of God and volunteered at Lexington Leisure Center for 30 plus years. She retired from Lexington Sportswear.
She is survived by a son, Gene “Bimbo” Jones (Jean); fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Loretta Nettles; sons, W.D. and Johnny Jones and husbands, Willie David Jones, Sr. and Lionell Hite. The family would like to give a special thanks to Janice Jones and Deana Hair at Amedisys Home Health Care.
