Margaret Louise Sox

Born in Columbia, SC on March 6th, 1929, Granny was the loving wife of Harold Sox for 30 years before his passing. She spent 38 years working for SCE&G. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 70 years. Granny enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and handing out Little Debbies and Cokes to all visitors.

Her bucket list before she passed included seeing her granddaughter get married, meeting her great-granddaughter, and reading the Bible. She was blessed to see her granddaughter marry, meet her great-granddaughter, and spend meaningful time reading through much of the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents, Timothy Sr. and Lula Wylie; her brother, Timothy Wylie, Jr. (Teny Wylie) and her grand dog, Dixie. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lynn Sox; her grandchildren, Casey Scruggs (Matt Scruggs) and Kipper McIntosh (Kathryn McIntosh); her great-granddaughter, Lizzie McIntosh; 3 great-grand dogs; and her loving friend, Donna Taylor.

She will be remembered for her love of her large family, including all of her nieces and nephews, her church family, and also her neighbors.

Friends and family are invited to Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. for a graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Margaret’s memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, South Carolina 29072.
