

Marisa A. Manning, wife of Damon L. Manning, departed this life on July 5, 2026. They celebrated 50 years on July 2, 2026; her knight in shining armor. Born June 27, 1954 in Aguadilla, PR, she was the daughter of Josephine Barber.
Mrs. Manning graduated in 1973 from Valdosta High School. She was a member of City of Hope Worship Center. She worked as a homemaker for half of her life and worked at Goldkist until early retirement in 2015.
Surviving along with her husband, Lee, are her daughter, Amanda (John) and their family of SC; son, Justin Manning (Buddy) and their family of SC; daughter, Heather McElveen (Bubba) and their family of SC; half sons, Todd Manning (Sandy) and their family of FL and Lee Manning (Colleen-Ragin) and their family of FL; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; five sisters; two brothers, in-laws, and closest family friends.
She loved her soulmate of 50 years, Lee, and her Georgia Bulldogs. She also loved watching Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, westerns, and Friends. She loved her family so much. She was our Sophia of Golden Girls. She will be missed deeply.
She was predeceased by her father; father-in-law, Ford; mother-in-law, Oletha; several cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
