Marsha Hodes Sacca

Marsha Hodes Sacca, 74, of Lexington, SC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was born in New Haven, CT and a graduate of West Haven High School. Marsha attended a semester at Western Connecticut State University before meeting the love of her life, Joseph, and enjoying 50+ years of marriage. Marsha worked for Charter Communications as a customer service representative and trainer in New Milford and Newton, CT for over 20 years. Upon retirement, she spent over twenty years living in Winter Springs, FL. The joy of her life was her family, especially her great grandchildren. There was nothing more important to her than her close-knit family and dearest friends who were like family to her. Marsha had a giving heart, often putting others before herself. She had unwavering faith which gave her strength and made her a source of wisdom and support for many. Marsha loved playing card games and was known for her gift wrapping skills.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Gordon) Gillespie of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Olivia Sacca of Lexington, SC, Amber (Joshua) Walker of Burnsville, NC, and Adam (Airi) Gillespie of Forest Hills, NY; great grandchildren, Everly Sacca of Lexington, SC, Sean Walker of Burnsville, NC, and Lewis Gillespie of Forest Hills, NY; her sister, Joanna (Dayl) Larsen of Montgomery, WV; her sister-in-law, Mary Lynn (Michael) Eckert of Iowa City, IA; her nephew, Scott Parker of Center Conway, NH and Adam Eckert of Nashville, TN; in addition to several cousins and a very close and supportive group of friends.

Marsha was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Amanda; and her parents, Barbara and Richard Hodes.

The family would like to thank her doctors, the staff at Lexington Medical Center and Fresenius Kidney Care for the wonderful care she received.

A Memorial Service will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, on July 17, 2026, at 11:00 am.
