Mary I Elders

PELION – Funeral services for Mary Isolene Elders, 87, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with interment in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Rev. Donald Jeffcoat and Rev. John Lastinger, Jr. Officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 in the chapel.

Mrs. Elders was born November 26, 1927 in Red Bank, SC and passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was the daughter of the late James F. Roland and Mary Sharpe Roland. She was a member of the Galilean Baptist Church.

She is survived by, her children Allen Hicks, Sr. (Carolyn), W.M. “Billy” Hicks, Jr. (Teresa), Mary Ellen Kyzer (Wesley,Sr.); 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, George; a son, Jimmy Hicks and brothers and sisters. Active Pallbearers are her grandsons and Honorary Pallbearers are her great-grandsons. Memorials may be made to the Galilean Baptist Church, 124 Lisa Dr., Lexington, SC 29072.
