

PELION– Funeral services for Mary Lou Hall Stansell, 84, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Florence Baptist Church, 1720 Windy Wood Rd, Pelion, SC 29123 with the Rev. Charles Leonhardt and the Rev. Byron Edens officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Hillandale Cemetery in Lithonia, GA with the Rev. Terry Brock officiating. The family will receive friends before the graveside service at Henry Funeral Home, in Lithonia, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Johnny, Tony, and Troy Stansell, Joe Banks, Ricky and Russell Rimer, and Jay Miles. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday school class and her great grandchildren.
Mrs. Stansell was born June 26, 1927 in Rockdale County, GA and passed away on July 14, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Genelia Farrow and Lossie B. Hall. Mrs. Stansell loved to sew and make crafts. She was a faithful member of Florence Baptist Church where she was involved with the VBS food committee, Women’s Prayer Circle, condolence committee and the ladies outreach.
Mrs. Stansell is survived by her daughters, Dale (Pete) Banks, Debbie (Sammy) Miles; sons, Russell (Rita) Stansell and Rodger (Wanda) Stansell; granddaughters, Robin Ezell, Devon Miles, and Jamie Schwartz; 17 great grandchildren; special nephew, Andy Skinner; sister, Ellen Hall; brother and sisters in law, Jim (Mary Jane) Stansell, Callie Owens, and Jan Hall; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stansell was predeceased by her husband, Clifford F. “Tip” Stansell; grandson, Randy Banks; father and mother, Lossie and Genelia Hall; sisters, Margaret Skinner, Julie and Gladys Hall; and brothers, Andrew, Howard, Benny and Jack Hall.
