Well, as Mike would say with a big smile and a laff, I am winning the last man standing contest.   I have mused that there is a benefit to going first.....you dont have to feel the grief of loss and the pain.  And, when I look at the obits?  I notice that I am older than they are, lol.
Mike was very smart and super talented.   So, what happened to me?
I finally became an engineer and musician but took me forever but Mike was born with it!  See?  Life is not fair...

Thanks to Mike and Sarah, and later in life, we got together yearly at Myrtle Beach!  I think I was a good brother but I know I could have been better  but then again he shot me through my ear with a homemade arrow and bow, lol.  He and I conspired for an hour as to how we were gonna explain it when getting home.  Solution?  Throw shirt away that had the blood and sneak into the house and get a new one.  Mike distracted Mom and I went in the back...LOL.  I still have the little scar.    I cant believe how the time is passing but I think of Mike and AL Grimes often.   sniffle.

Michael was my beloved Brother-in-Law. We had a special relationship in that I admired Mike for too many reasons  to mention here . I suppose some of the most outstanding things that I remember about him was his booming laugh, his sense of humor, and his love for Sara his wife and Christ's influence on his life.  Mike and I had many conversations over readings in the Bible, and he knew the Bible very well. If I had a question about a reading that I did not understand, he would explain it in terms that made things crystal clear. He just had that ability when it came to God's word..  I admired Mike for his intelligence, his  ability to play the guitar, and to make or manufacture anything he wanted out of metal in the little machine shop he had set up in his garage. I will miss you Brother Mike and look forward to seeing you again soon.

My brothers, Greg and Mike, came to me not through blood but in need of family. And we grew together through good times and troubled times, always coming full circle with care and love. Mike’s personality emerged over our years together to become compassionate and strong with a spiritual walk that was unshakable. Sara his wife, his family, his guitar and music, and his black ‘Stinger’ Corvette were his earthly treasures. Christ was my brother’s best friend.  We shared many conversations on that subject and he will celebrate Easter with our risen Lord this year! I will miss so much his “My dear sister”.  And his contagious laugh. Greg and I will join you soon, dear brother. 

So sorry to hear this very sad news. I was trying to find out if this was the Mike Harrison that used to work at Michelin Tire in Lexington. He was our boss in the 90's and to date, was one of the better one's we ever had. With sympathy and regards to the family. Tim Taylor (Hammer)

The first time I met Mike was in Georgia for Thanksgiving. It was my first time meeting Greg's family. We were the last one arrived to Herb's house and of course, I did not know anyone. I was nervous. Everyone was very friendly but Mike has that sense of humor and magic to make me feel like I have known everyone for a long time and am part of the family. The memories I have with Mike were lots of laughs and always fun. He saw humor in everything, cracked jokes and had a special look that came before his grin. I enjoyed the times we all went to Myrtle Beach a week before Thanksgiving. It's a tradition for Mike to invite all of us there to celebrate Thanksgiving. At the beach, Mike and Sara would always wore matching t-shirts. I thought that was very cute. He adored Sara very much that I can even feel it from the way he talked about her. Mike will be missed. 

Michael and I grew up together mostly in Ellicott City, MD and we also had a half brother Al Grimes who passed last year.   Mike was very smart guy and had excellent musical abilities with the guitar....not a two chord special but like Chet Atkins.  He served in the AF and became a highly skilled machinist.   Mike saw humor in almost anything good or bad.   He was very quick witted and could mix well with people of all backgrounds and walks of life.   In short, he was a good soul, kind to animals, and adored his wife Sarah and was devoted to her in the same way Dad was to mom.   LOL, Mike and I use to have BB gun battles and shoot at each other with bow and arrows....he would scream with laughter anytime he shot me.....I would just scream...LOL.  Imagine that behavior today in our quasi-sick PC culture?   These things cure themselves because one day he shot an arrow thru my rt. ear and punctured the other side of it.    He was shocked cuz the rules were "below the waist"....now come to think of it that is not a good rule either.   He and I had to figure out how to get my bloody shirt in the house wo mom seeing it....so he went in the side door and distracted her while I came in another and went upstairs to clean up and get another shirt.....No more cops and robbers or Indians.   Uh, we did this pre teen years not in our 20s....LOL.   One time I was losing a fist fight on main street and he stepped in and beat the older boy up pretty good.  Mike was a good brother! I could have been better and told him so coincidently just weeks before he left us.....My sister said I was next, lol, but I declined.
