Michael A. Hill

Mike was born in Columbia, SC to the late John Calvin and Annie Joyce Hill. He grew up in Cayce with his two brothers and sister where they created many childhood memories. After attending Brookland-Cayce High School, Mike attended the University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After graduation, Mike began a faithful accounting career in the insurance industry.

Mike married Norma Jean in 1985. During their 40 years of marriage, they were blessed with two children and four grandchildren. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, attending his grandchildren’s extracurricular activities and vacationing in the mountains. Joining his children and grandchildren in the mountains of Virginia was among his most treasured moments.

Mike is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Hill; children, Austin Hill (Graham), Natalie Stoertz (Lewis); grandchildren, Graham Stoertz, Tucker Stoertz, Connor Hill, Maggie Hill; siblings, John Hill (Janet), Don Hill (Vikki), Joy Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Lexington on Barr Road. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial to follow the service at Woodridge Memorial Park.
