GILBERT – A memorial service for Michael H. Powers, 33, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Gilbert. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gilbert, 441 Lewi Street, Gilbert, SC 29054 or to Big Brothers and Sisters Program.
Mr. Powers was born September 28, 1977 in Orangeburg, SC and passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011. He was a son of Allen Ralph Powers and Linda Sue Winkelman Powers. Mr. Powers was a member of First Baptist Church of Gilbert. He worked in maintenance at Amick Farms.
Mr. Powers is survived by his wife, Brandi Summers Powers; daughters, Alyssa Katelan Summers and Skyler Hays all of Gilbert; brother, Greg Alan Powers of VA; sister, Tiffany Amber Jackson of MN; parents of Gilbert and maternal grandparents, Herman and Celia Winkelman of Jacksonville, FL.
Mr. Powers was a loving husband, son, brother and friend that will be missed. You will be forever in our hearts.
