

COLUMBIA – On Monday, August 29, 2011, Our Heavenly Father wrapped His loving arms around Mildred Shaw Fraylick, 85, and carried her to His Heavenly Home to the waiting arms of her husband, Edward “Buddy” Judson Fraylick, Jr., following a long illness.
She was born May 19, 1926, in Lexington, NC to the late Willie Edgar and Tessie Shadwick Shaw. She was retired from C&S National Bank (Bank of America) where she worked in Bookkeeping, Installment Loans and Corporate Trust.
She is survived by her daughters, J. Teresa Fraylick and Roberta Fraylick Atkins (C.J.); grandchildren, Wayne J. McDaniel, Michelle M. Phillips (Mike), and Corey J. B. Atkins; four great-grandchildren; best friends, Earline Derrick and Elon and Bill Wright. Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Helen Shaw Kivett.
Mildred was a bowler and enjoyed an occasional game of golf. She was an avid Gamecock Fan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her loving spirit will be missed by her family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Landmark Apartments Clubhouse, 19 Landmark Drive, Columbia, SC, corner of St. Andrews Rd. and Sidney Rd., from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2659 Two Notch Rd., Columbia, SC 29204. The family wishes to thank J. Daniel Love, MD, Milton D. Alexander, MD, Gerald Fishman, MD, the Respiratory Staff at BMC and Palmetto Health Hospice for their compassionate care of Mildred during her illness and final days.
