Murray Eugene Love Jr.

LEXINGTON-Murray E. “Gene” Love, age 74, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011.

“Gene” was born June 12, 1937 in Denmark, SC, a son of the late Mozelle Bodiford Love and Murray Eugene Love, Sr. Mr. Love founded Gene Love Plumbing Service in 1981 and was a former owner of various businesses. He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Love is survived by his wife, Kathleen S. Love of Lexington; brother, Roy (Ruth) Love of Olar; sister, Linda Davis of Lexington, Michael (Judy) Baxley of Barnwell; sister-in-law, Patricia Isley of West Columbia; brother-in-law, Robert (Susan) Scully; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Love is also survived by his loving friend, Cynthia Healey of Lexington and his beloved pet, Charlie.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
