
PROSPERITY – A memorial service for Myrna Ann Simmons, 71, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
She was born April 2, 1940 in Winnsboro, SC and passed away at her beloved home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Melvina Rice and John Calvin Smith. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Carl D. Simmons. Mrs. Simmons retired from Columbia Teachers Federal Credit Union and was employed by Eye Associates of Cayce/West Columbia.
Myrna is survived by her daughters, Melandie DelRossi (Wayne) of Simpsonville, Terri Wilson (Hal) of Columbia and Julie Stevenson (Roger) of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Ryan and Allan DelRossi, Rachel, Rebecca and Colin Stevenson; siblings, Carol Collins, Paula Higgins, Dale Smith, and Wanda Boulware; a dear cousin, Juanita Boyd; brothers-in-law, Robert Simmons and Jerry Simmons; sister-in-law, Marie Robson; and her beloved cats, Jade and Jasmine. She was predeceased by her older brother, Milton K. Smith.
The family will receive family and friends for refreshments following the service at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, South Carolina 29127.
