

Norbert “Norb” Miller served in the US Army for 21 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was the military photographer, documenting parts of World War II. When he retired from the military, he continued to work as a photographer. His work earned him the honor of Federal Employee of the year. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus, achieving the title of Grand Knight. Mr. Miller was a philanthropist in his own right, contributing to numerous charities, including St. Jude’s, Oliver Gospel Mission, and the South Carolina Heart Association.
Norb was a diehard sports fan, faithfully cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He was also a supporter of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Miller and Karen Miller of Gaston; sons, David Miller of Waco, TX, Michael Miller of Gaston and Richard Miller of Sandy Run. He also had 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Edith Miller and children, William Miller, Theresa Miller, and Alvin Miller.
The family will receive visitors at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, SC with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
