She is survived by her daughters; Carol Sandusky (Mike) and Amy Robson (Jeff), 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Norene was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Boltjes, and her husband John T. Drafts, brothers; J.C. Bouknight, Quincy Bouknight, Heyward Bouknight and “Peck” Bouknight and sisters; Martharie Haselden and Norma Evans.
Norene was a 1947 graduate of Irmo High School and attended Draughns Business College. She was employed by Noland Company along with Drafts & Jumper Architects. She was a Sunday School teacher at Zion Lutheran Church and was on the church council. Norene was also a Girl Scout Leader for 10 years. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, reading and playing bridge.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Rd. Lexington, SC 29072. A reception will follow the service in the Family Life Center.
