A memorial service for Norma Jean Resler, 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 1, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A memorial service will also be held at St. Dennis Church, Lockport, IL at 3:00 pm October 23, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Mrs. Resler was born October 3, 1920 in Joliet, IL, and passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Lexington, SC. She was the daughter of the late William and Jane Smith. .
Mrs. Resler is survived by her husband, Lawrence Resler of Lexington, SC; daughter, Linda (Jack) Whalen of Lexington, SC; son-in-law, Joseph Kehlenbach of Lockport, IL, granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris) Frank of Lexington, SC; Joan (Tony) Brncich of New Lenox, IL, Jana Wennlund of Lockport, IL, and Jill (Bill) Utz of Lockport, IL; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Resler is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; 1 sister and daughter, Mariellen Kehlenbach.
