
PELION – Mr. Norris H. Kneece, 92, was a World War II Veteran. He was ushered into the presence of his Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The Rev. Terry C. Wilder will officiate. Mr. Chad Meredith will offer praises through music. Burial will be in the Florence Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelion, SC with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers and honorary escorts will be members of the Oliver Masonic Lodge No. 133 of Swansea.
Norris was born on December 21, 1920, a son of the late Elmer C. and Lottie Taylor Kneece. He was a retired self-employed trim carpenter. He was a member of Swansea First Baptist Church of Swansea where he served on the building and grounds committee, as a deacon and various other positions. He was a member of the Oliver Masonic Lodge No. 133 of Swansea.
He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Kyzer Kneece and a son, Wayne Kneece of Swansea and brother, Rufus Kneece. He is survived by a son, Tony N. Kneece (Julie) of Pelion; daughters, Angelia DeWitt of Irmo, Bonita Mishoe (Ashley) of Swansea and Nelle Drafts (Roger) of West Columbia. He is survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
His family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers at Heartland of Lexington.
