Pamela Odum McGauley Bond

WEST COLUMBIA - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Pam was born on June 6, 1950 in Charlotte, NC. She grew up in the Columbia area and attended Olympia High School. After her marriage she and her family left South Carolina for military assignments in Europe and various U.S. cities. In 1998 Pam returned to South Carolina to make her home in West Columbia. She often remarked that these were some of the happiest years of her life.

Pam was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. (Juanita Kyzer) Odum; a sister, Elsie Odum Murray and her son, MSGT M. Joey McGauley. She is survived by a daughter, Angela (Edgar) Alvarado and grandchildren, Savannah and Sam of West Columbia; grandchildren, Justin and Cody McGauley and their mother, Michelle of Winnsboro; sister, Gerry Herron of Lexington; brother, Ricky (Mandy) Odum of Columbia; her special friend of many years, Mike Henderson of Lexington and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel on North Lake Drive in Lexington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209 and/or Pets Inc., 300 Orchard Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170.
