WEST COLUMBIA - Patricia Anne Gentry, 80, of West Columbia passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was born in Columbia, on June 29, 1937 to the late Earl and Annie Coker Murphy. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Velda Coker of Charlotte, NC; sons, Mark Gentry of West Columbia, Robert Gentry, Jr of Lexington; as well as her sisters, Mary Saum of Groveport, OH and Theresa Hunter of Red Bank and brother, Lawrence Murphy of West Columbia. Mrs. Gentry was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gentry was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Gentry, son, John Gentry, sister, Frances Davis and brother, Earl Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with reception to follow. The family will receive friends Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jud’s or Shriners.
