Patricia Gail (Reaves) Parker, 76, went home to join her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center surrounded by her beloved family. Born July 30, 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Edward Gray Reaves and Katie Ethel (Cheek) Reaves. After family relocated, she met her first love, the late Robert Glenn Ford, at What-A-Burger in West Columbia, South Carolina. They were married on June 6, 1960. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ed and Jerry and one sister, Glenda.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Parker of 15 years, whom she met at a family picnic hosted by her brother, Jerry. One week later, they became inseparable and were married in 2006. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Clay (Gabby) Reaves and her sister, Gloria (Steve) Koch; her three children and three step children, Deborah (Brent) Hawkins, Crystal (Tal) Dennis, Glenn Ford, Frankie (Jennifer) Parker, Charla (Jason) Summers, Richard Parker; grandchildren, Dustin (Chelsey) and Chloe Corley, Katie (Ben) Dawson, Reagan, Victoria and Mallory Ford; her step grandchildren, Caleb, Chandler, Sara, and RJ and, lastly, her great grandchildren, Grayson and Norah Dawson.
Patricia was a homemaker, focusing on her family and children until beginning a career at City of Cayce in 1984. After her retirement in 2006, she spent the majority of her time with family, traveling, bird watching, and tending to her many flowers and plants year round. One of her most notable achievements was being past Queen in the Daughters of the Nile at Jamil Temple in Columbia, SC. Patricia will be remembered as a loving wife and caring mother and grandmother. She never missed a minute of spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her granddogs.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072 officiated by Reverend Beau Bradberry.
