LEXINGTON – Patricia (Pat) Sears went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 1, 2019. She was the wife of Jim Sears. They were blessed with 53 wonderful years of marriage, a loving family, and great friends.
Pat was born on July 23, 1948 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Ira and Margaret Sowell. Pat graduated from Dreher High School and went on to raise two beautiful daughters.
She was a long time member of Lexington Baptist Church, Lexington Woman’s Club, The Red Hat Society, and she was a loving wife and mother. Her passion though, was her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, who she loved unconditionally and without exemption. They were the light of her life, and it showed with every word and action.
Pat is survived by her husband, Jim Sears; children, Angie Lewis (son-in-law Todd), and Stephanie Wingard (son-in-law Bryan); grandchildren, Michael Lewis (Ashley Lewis), Natalie Lewis, Cody Wingard, and Kailyn Wingard; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Burns, Kaylee Burns and Macey Lewis; and brother, John Bernard Sowell.
Visitation will be at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 E. Main St., Lexington, SC 29072 at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. in the church chapel. Interment to follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
