Patricia Hensley Wingard, 67, of West Columbia, SC passed away on December 25, 2020. She was born in Vine Grove, KY on May 8, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Hensley and Mary Caton Hensley.
Mrs. Wingard was a retired IT professional working in the insurance industry for over twenty years, and most recently retired as the co-owner of Wingard Towing Service. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and loved her Sunday school class.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Caton Hensley; her sister, Christie Hensley Miller and her sons, Landy D. Wingard (Tracey Blackstock Wingard) of Greenville, SC and Gregory P. Wingard (Anna Varn Wingard), of Lexington, SC. Patty was proud of her grandchildren: Samuel Lowery Wingard, Meredith Anne Wingard, Marielle Adelaide Wingard and Merritt June Wingard. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed spending time with close friends and family at Surfside Beach.
She is predeceased by her husband, Eddie “Dean” Wingard, of West Columbia, SC; her father, Hubert Hensley and her brother, Stanley Hensley, both of Vine Grove, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. The family will be available for visitation after the service.
