Ranson Weatherford

LEXINGTON - Ransom Dewayne Weatherford, 40, of Lexington, SC passed away peacefully at home, Sunday morning, April 24, 2016.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 in the chapel of Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital.

Born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, he was the son of, Jimmy Lex Weatherford and the late Laura Jean Weatherford.

Ransom joined the Navy soon after high school where he received his LVN license. He began working as a Process Engineer with Palmetto Health Hospital Systems in February of 2014. Currently he was working on his DHA at A.T. Still University.

Ransom was survived by a special friend, John Bryant and his longtime companion Emily. He is also survived by his siblings, James Carroll Weatherford of Mt. Vernon, Texas, Laura Marie Huff (Bubba) of Crosby, Texas, Melissa McSwain and Sarah McSwain, both of Mt. Vernon, Texas and several special nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arnold School of Public Health, Development Office, 921 Assembly Street 108, Columbia, SC 29208.

Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
