

LEXINGTON – Rice Boozer Harmon, II, 78, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 3:10 a.m. R B was a lifelong Lexington resident. He was a 1954 graduate of Lexington High School and a 1960 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Pharmacy. He was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and loved his Georgia “Dawgs.” He owned and operated The Harmon Drug Company from 1960 to 1981 and he was past president of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Jaycee’s and a life member of the Free Masons. He was also a founding member of the Country Club of Lexington and was in the first foursome to tee off in November, 1966. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Lexington.
He is survived by his longtime sweetheart, Louise Corley Frick of Newberry, SC; sons, Carter Harmon of Lexington, SC and Travis Harmon of Louisville, KY and daughter, Amy Harmon of Columbia, SC. He was predeceased by his father, Dr. Rice B. Harmon, Sr.; mother, Carrie “Blondelle” Harmon and sister, Joanne Smith Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with funeral services to follow at the same location, ending with a graveside service in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lexington, SC.
