Funeral service for Richard Bowman, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 in the Chapel of Hope with entombment in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr. Bowman was born February 19, 1922 in Berea, KY and passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was a son of the late Thomas Bowman and Rachael Truett Bowman. Mr. Bowman served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
Mr. Bowman is survived by his daughter, Diane Kendall of Columbia; sons, Daniel Bowman of Lexington, Lee Bowman and Mark Bowman both of Stuart, FL; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
