Richard Allan Smith

Richard “Allan” Smith of the Sandy Run Community, at the young age of 50 was born in Columbia, SC on August 5, 1970 and Jesus needed his Soldier on Friday, December 18, 2020. He was the son of H. Phillip Smith and Ophelia Kleckley Rowe.

Allan was a great person who would give you the shirt off his back and every last dollar in his pocket. He was a great stepdad, Papa and friend, he treasured his family and friends. He loved to hunt, he loved life and “He was the best of the Best”. No one can take his place or his admiration for his loved ones.

Mr. Smith is survived by his best friend and wife, Latonya Smith; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Tabatha Watkins of Lexington; stepdaughter, Samantha Watkins of Florida and 5 grandbabies; also his father, Phillip Smith from Sandy Run Community along with his aunt, Debbie Liptak from Lexington, and his Uncle Keith and Claudette Beck of Lexington and Uncle Wyman Smith of Gilbert. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Jessie Lee Smith.
