
LEXINGTON – Services for Richard Glen “Dick” Tribble, 80, will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012, at 11:30 AM, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lexington, SC, and a private burial will be held prior to the service. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1130 Saint Peters Rd., Lexington, SC 29072 or the Humane Society, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209.
Mr. Tribble was born in Clarksdale, MS on February 4, 1932 and passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012. He was the son of the late A.F. and Josie Brown Tribble. Mr. Tribble was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where he created the currently used nativity scene. He was an Airborne Ranger, 9th Company, during the Korean War, a State Constable, a member of the American Legion, and a talented artist. He and his wife, JoAnne, were active in the Republican Party and actively involved in animal welfare issues and gave to many other charitable organizations. Mr. Tribble was retired from Delta Airlines and the SC Employment Security Commission.
Surviving are his wife, of 57 years, JoAnne Boozer Tribble of Lexington; a sister, Ruby Tribble Laird of Atlanta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Tribble was preceded in death by his brothers, J.L. Tribble, Joe Fedric Tribble, Chester Ray Tribble, Porter Tribble, Robert Tribble and many beloved pets.
