Born in Winnsboro on January 26, 1930, Mr. Fowler was the son of the late Dewey Fowler and Pearl Gregory Fowler. Mr. Fowler worked in the grocery industry and was a member of Gordon Memorial Methodist Church in Winnsboro and also a special friend of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, SC.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Varnadore Fowler and brother, James Norris Fowler.
Mr. Fowler is survived by one son, Roger Lee Fowler, Jr.; one daughter, Janice F. Warham; one sister, Sara F. Cook and four grandchildren, Heyward Conrad Sharpe Jr. and wife, Judi Jones Shape, Paige Sharpe Davis, Roger Lee Fowler III and wife, Julie, Christopher Scott Fowler and wife, Hannah; eight great grandchildren, Kinley Elaine Kelly, Mrs. Kyle Wayne Adams (Janice Paige), Kylie Elizabeth Watts, Heyward Conrad Sharpe III, Roger Blake Fowler, Katelyn Marie Fowler, Judith Avery Sharpe and Lydia Kathlene Fowler and three great-great-grandchildren, Brenden Ford James Watts, Landon Taylor Watts and Rylee Paige Adams.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Lexington Extended Care and Compassionate Care Hospice for their tender care of Mr. Fowler.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 2338 Ross Dye Road, Blackstock, South Carolina 29014.
