I did not know Officer Barr, however, I feel that I have come to know him in the last few days. He certainly sounds like the Lord called him very early in his life - and he knew his calling - even as early as 14 years old… and he walked “where angels feared to tread” for that we owe him a Big Thanks! From all of us that are a little more protected, because of him, and his brothers and sisters in blue.

To his family - thanks for raising and sharing him with us - may you find peace from the Lord, knowing that Drew lived out his Faith - what a great example!

Dear Friends, We want you to know that we know that you hurt and will miss Drew greatly. However, after the love that was shown yesterday, we know that Drew was loved and respected  by many.  You all will be in our thoughts and prayers. May you feel God's comfort and strength during the coming days, months, etc.

Drew was an amazing person,  and I had the pleasure of being both his sister in blue and having him as my officer where I lived in Cayce. Drew will not be forgotten and his legacy will live on through the brave men and women who get up and serve their communities every day. We love you Drew, and we'll hold the line from here. 💙

We were so sorry to hear of Drew's death.  What an awesome young man he was and what a difference he made in so many lives.  We remember him at Mt. Ebal as a young boy who was always happy and smiling.  We wish we could have known him as a young man.  He lived his faith and we know his life touched so many people.  The service today was truly a tribute to a blessed man of God.  Our prayers go out to you and your family, as well as, his brothers and sisters in blue.  We also lift up Molly and all the K-9 officers.     Phil. 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  This verse seems to be speaking about Drew's life.  I know Jesus was smiling when He welcomed Drew home.  "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Thank you for always supporting the Latino community in Lexington County and its surroundings / thank you Molí for bringing a smile to our children.

To the Barr family. My heart and prayers go out to each of you. I did not know Drew, but I know he and the others have (had) dangerous jobs. But thought God's grace, you will get through this trying time in your life. Drew is now your guardian Angel. His work he loved so dearly has not yet finished. May God grant you all peace.

Drew was always a welcome face on EMS scenes when he volunteered with Monetta FD.   He was calm, competent, and light-hearted, and helped me out riding in with more than one critical patient.    I still owe you that 6-pack Drew.   You will be missed.

Love and prayers for the Barr family...l didn't know Drew, but from what I hear he was an Amazing person who loved his job and community..

Our K9 Godmoms was supposed to meet all of the Cayce K9’s and their handlers yesterday and serve them lunch. Our hearts are broken that Officer Drew was taken way too soon. But God has plans for each of us. It’s hard not to question why a young man that was so dedicated  and such a bright future was taken in such an awful way. But we know that Drew is sitting at the feet of Jesus and and being told “Well done my good and faithful servant”.  Your job on earth is done. 
You will live on in many hearts forever.  K9 Godmoms will love on Molly as much as we can.

I did not know, Officer Barr.  but I am saddened at the loss of such a young, vibrant, dedicated young man with such a promising life before him.  My prayers go out to all of his family, friends, coworkers and to all that knew him.

Our hearts are breaking with the  loss of this fine young man. My husband was a police office in Detroit years ago and whenever a fellow officer is lost in the line of duty, our hearts grieve. When I read of Drew's passing, my breath got caught in my throat. While I didn't know him personally, I knew him from mutual friends. What I know for absolute certainty, is that this young man was full of life and a desire to serve his community. I want to give not only my condolences to his family. I also want to give my condolences to his first responder family. As a former dispatcher, a special thought goes out to his dispatcher.
